Best Software For Photo Booth Branding
Compare top photo booth branding apps — features, AI tools, pricing, and platform support — to choose the right solution for events.

Photo booth branding software is how a booth stops being a novelty and starts being a marketing asset. Overlays, start screens, lead capture, and share links are the difference between a cute print and a logo that leaves the room in a hundred pockets.
This is a comparison of the platforms operators ask us about. Prices change. Confirm current plans before you quote.
If you are still choosing an iPad-only stack, start with Which Is the Best iPad Photo Booth App?.
LumaBooth (including the old dslrBooth name)
LumaBooth now covers Windows, iOS, and Mac. The Windows product used to be called dslrBooth. Template libraries are large, Canva PDFs can land as editable layers, and AI portraits plus background removal are the features corporate clients ask to see. Annual plans are usually the cheapest way in. A watermarked trial exists.
Good if you want one vendor across a tablet booth and a DSLR booth.
Simple Booth HALO
An iPad-first system with a serious layout designer, digital props, branded data-capture forms, and a live feed. Opt-in rates on the forms are the reason brand activations buy it. AI background replacement is on paid tiers. Hardware-wise it is built around their ring light and current iPadOS.
Good if your entire fleet is iPad and you sell lead capture as a line item.
Snappic
Strong at 360 setups, DSLR tethering, overlays, and live analytics. Per-event and monthly unlimited plans. Sharing-station iPads help when the line is long. This is the “make the brand look expensive” option more than the cheapest unlimited.
Social Booth
A Windows-oriented path with a one-time purchase story — no monthly software rent if that is how you run the books. Full customization and AI add-ons exist. Confirm camera support and print paths on the PC you will actually take to the venue.
How to choose
- Weddings and socials: LumaBooth or a solid iPad app if you want simple themes and prints.
- Corporate activations: HALO or Snappic if overlays, disclaimers, and data matter.
- Mixed hardware: LumaBooth if you refuse to run three vendors.
- No subscription: Social Booth, with eyes open on updates and support.
All of these can sit in front of PBI hardware — Cloee, Mirror 4, Astro, or an iPad stand. We do not lock you to one software company. We do want the booth to stay up, which is why lifetime tech support stays with the unit.
